Reverend Rickey James

Born at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and reared in Norway, South Carolina, Reverend Rickey James is the tenth child of the late Deacon Clifton and Deaconess Emma Hart James.
He was educated in the former Orangeburg County School District Number One, (Norfield 12 Year, and Hunter-Kinard High Schools).
He furthered his education by earning college cegrees from institutions of higher learning, including a Master of Arts degree from South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina and a Master of Divinity degree from Columbia International University Seminary and SChool of MIssions in Columbia, South Carolina.
He is a born-again Christian and a faithful servant of God. He was an ordained deaconfor fifteen years, and served in that capacity faithfully in multiple ministries until he accepted his calling into The Ministry and preached his initial sermon February 26, 2006. For eleven years he served as an Associate Minister at Bushy Pond Baptist Church located in Norway, South Carolina.
He was also active in the Beaver Creek Education and Missionary Baptist Association, where he served as treasurer for well over twenty years. He currently volunteers as Chaplain's Assistant at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
He has an extensive and only marriage to the former Jannie Ferguson of Salley, South Carolina. They have two children, Rishard Janrick and Rushondra Janee'.
He is currently employed by the South Carolina Department of Mental Health as a Mental Health Professional. He and his family reside in Orangeburg, South Carolina and are members of St. Paul Baptist Church.
